In this way we evaluate the effectiveness of our advertising and can build target audiences for future advertising activities. In doing so, your IP address, information about your device and browser as well as the pages you have visited are transmitted to Meta, among other data. The Meta Pixel is loaded exclusively after your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without consent the script remains blocked. 13. Meta Lead Ads (instant forms on Facebook and Instagram)

We place advertisements on Meta’s platforms (Facebook and Instagram). In doing so we use so-called lead ads with instant forms. These forms are displayed and completed directly within the respective platform. Data processed: the data you provide in the form, as a rule first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number as well as your details about your request and your current place of residence. We maintain profiles on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. If you visit these profiles or interact with them, the respective providers process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We have only limited influence on this processing. We receive aggregated, non-personal statistics from the platforms about the use of our profiles. For the processing within the scope of these page insights we are jointly responsible with the respective provider (Art. 26 GDPR). The legal basis for our presence is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in external presentation and communication).

14a. Communication via WhatsApp Business and Facebook Messenger

If you write to us via WhatsApp (+30 697 809 0221) or via the Facebook Messenger of our page “Auswanderung Griechenland”, we process the content of your messages and the data transmitted with them in order to answer your enquiry and advise you. For WhatsApp, this is your telephone number and your profile name; for Facebook Messenger, your page-scoped user ID and your public profile name. We only receive your telephone number or e-mail address via Messenger if you provide them to us yourself.

Your messages are transferred automatically via the interfaces of Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland) into our internal customer management system (CRM), which we operate ourselves on a server within the European Union. There we store your messages together with your enquiry so that we can follow the course of the conversation and continue to assist you without you having to provide your details again. We reply from the CRM or directly in Meta’s applications. To forward incoming WhatsApp messages, we additionally use the service Make (make.com) as a processor.

Meta also processes the data under its own responsibility; this may involve a transfer to the USA (Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (answering your enquiry) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient customer communication). We delete the messages no later than three years after the last contact, unless statutory retention obligations apply. You can request deletion at any time (see sections 17 and 22).

15. Recipients and transfers to third countries

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if you have consented, if the transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract, if there is a legal obligation, or if there is a legitimate interest. To provide our services we work with professionally qualified partners, in particular lawyers and tax advisors in Greece. Your data is transferred to these partners exclusively insofar as this is necessary to process your request and you agree to it. Insofar as data is transferred to providers based, or with servers, outside the European Union, this takes place on the basis of appropriate safeguards, in particular standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

16. Storage period

We store your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes. Enquiries that do not lead to a contractual relationship are deleted at the latest after a reasonable period following final processing. Where statutory retention obligations exist, in particular tax and commercial law periods under Greek law, we store the data concerned until these periods expire and restrict the processing accordingly.

20. Google Ads conversion tracking and enhanced conversions

We use Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to advertise our website on external websites. Conversion tracking allows us to determine whether visitors who reached our website through one of our ads have carried out a specific action (for example, submitted a contact form, called us or sent a WhatsApp message). Cookies are set in this process and information about your usage behaviour is transmitted to Google. In addition, we use the “Enhanced Conversions” feature. Contact details that you have voluntarily provided (for example your email address or telephone number) are encrypted using a one-way hashing procedure (SHA-256) before transmission and are then sent to Google in order to match ads to actual enquiries more accurately. Google cannot decrypt the transmitted data. Conversion tracking and enhanced conversions are only loaded or activated after your express consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Without your consent, the corresponding scripts remain blocked. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings. Transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out. Further information on data protection at Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
